The Project. An update to hillside development regulations in the City of Redwood City. The hillside areas of Redwood City are a core component of the City’s character and identity and an asset the community wants to protect. However, hillsides pose a dynamic challenge for construction due to steep slopes and unstable underlying soils and geotechnical conditions.
The Result. The updated Hillsides regulations include provisions to ensure compatibility of new development while minimizing impacts upon the character-defining features of the City and preserving natural resources.
