The Project. Update to the South Hayward BART/Mission Boulevard and Mission Boulevard Corridor Form-Based Codes to remove internal inconsistencies and make the Codes easier to understand and administer.
The Result. The updated Codes continue to regulate development to transform the corridor into a vibrant, pedestrian- and transit-oriented mixed-use corridor and ensure high-quality public spaces defined by a variety of building types and uses including housing, retail, and office space. The regulating plan, building form standards, land use regulations, and other elements were updated to implement the principles of urbanism, planning, and smart growth, consistent with the community vision.
